It is “the mission of FNESU Learning Community is to adopt, promote, and support high expectations for all its community members. FNESU will use data and research-based best practices to make informed decisions so that all children learn and succeed in each area of development.” The after school programs will help promote the mission through offering a variety of enrichment activities as well as clear expectations that will foster a positive school climate. The21CCLC afterschool programs have goals that parallel that of the FNESU. They are: to improve student achievement in math and reading/language arts; to improve student’s self esteem and social skills; and to reduce students high-risk behaviors and attitudes.

For the past six years we have offered programs in Enosburg Falls Middle/High School and Richford. Additionally, we added three new sites this year in Bakersfield, Berkshire and Enosburg Elementary. These new sites previously had some form of afterschool program that varied in scope. Therefore, 21CCLC provides cohesion between all of these programs and ensure quality enrichment programming will be offered that will enhance the students learning.
